Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Electrical Technician will be responsible for laying out and building electrical panels, both high and low voltage. Technician will also install these panels on the machines and route wiring and cabling as necessary to connect the panel components to the proper devices on the machine. Creative thinking is key in this role to think ahead for an efficient and robust wiring process.
Under minimum supervision, applicant will design custom pieces of machinery and tooling. You will build and maintain strong relationships within Forward Tech and continue to learn the intricacies of wiring plastic welding, leak/burst testing, and automation equipment.
The Electrical Technician will have strong experience with wiring and electrical components and have hands-on troubleshooting experience. A go-getter type personality with a strong desire to succeed will help the applicant thrive and grow in this position.
Common tasks for this position include:
- Building electrical panels
- Completing wiring and terminating at the machine level
- Redlining electrical drawings and providing feedback to electrical engineers
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with relevant codes and with proper documentation
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve processes, efficiency, quality, and service
- Work closely with vendors in identifying appropriate equipment necessary for the project
- Work with the Forward Tech team in general to maintain project schedules, standards, and budgets
- Provide assistance to other functional organizations (manufacturing, assembly, customer service, sales) throughout the life of a project
