Thermal Staking System - Multi Point

The TS-1032 (Large Thermal Staker) is an air-over-oil powered vertical motion Heat Staking Machine designed for a wide variety of heat staking applications requiring a high degree of precision and consistency. This welder offers a robust, cost-effective solution to quickly assemble parts that require multiple heat stakes. The machine chassis features an ultra-rigid tubular steel frame to minimize deflection that can contribute to an inconsistent Thermal Staking process. A PLC with color touch-screen HMI and a vertical axis Linear Encoder provides enhanced process control and more consistent production quality. The large capacity of this machine offers the opportunity to stake more than one part at a time.

  • Precision Linear Stroke Encoder allows the system to monitor & control multiple process steps including contact height, weld travel, & final height. Weld Travel Pass/ Fail Windows allow user to set min/max weld travel alarm limits for quality control purposes.
  • Multi-Level Passcode Protection limits parameter adjustment to qualified personnel only.
  • 5 Weld Program/Setup Memory allows storage for instant recall, minimizing tool change time.
  • 3.14” (80mm) Diameter Press Cylinder delivers 620 lbs of clamping force.
  • 7.9” (200mm) Vertical Actuator Stroke permits loading/unloading with adequate clearance for most parts.
  • Adjustable Stroke Velocity permits control of the vertical speed of the welding head, allowing more precise control for sensitive applications.
  • Ergonomically Located Dual Cycle Activation Switches ensure operator safety from actuator descent.
  • Lockable Mechanical Stop prevents shift/migration of stop setting in even the worst vibrating environments.

  1. Operator loads part halves into holding fixture
  2. Operator initiates both cycle activation switches
  3. If equipped, front door closes
  4. Operator is permitted to release cycle activation switches after door is closed, or if equipped, light curtains are clear Thermal stake (or hot air cold stake) tooling performs the recipe adjustable (time, temperature, pressure, distance) staking process
  5. Welded parts are blasted with cold air to “snap cool” the parts
  6. Actuator retracts to home position
  7. Front door opens (if equipped)
  8. Operator removes welded part from fixture
